Click your text field. Use your configured keyboard shortcut or side mouse button. The default is Mouse 5; choose click-to-toggle or hold-to-talk.

Can I try Typavo without installing it?
Yes. Record a sample in this page, listen back, then choose “Transcribe sample”. Recording uses your microphone only after you allow access. To turn audio into text, sign in with a verified Typavo account. Browser testing uses the same allowance as the desktop app.
Will the website type into my other apps?
The browser demo displays your transcription here so you can copy it. To paste into a selected field in another Windows app, use the Typavo desktop app.
Where does my audio go?
A browser recording stays in memory in this tab until you choose to transcribe it. Typavo then sends it through its API to OpenAI. Discarding the sample or leaving the page removes the browser’s copy. This page does not add recordings to your desktop history.
What do I need on Windows?
Windows 10 or 11 on an x64 computer, a working microphone, an internet connection and a Typavo account. You can choose your mouse button, keyboard shortcut and recording behavior in Settings.
What happens when my trial ends?
The trial ends after seven days or when its word allowance is used, whichever comes first. A paid plan is required for further recognition. Previously saved desktop history and copying remain available.
