Terms of service
DRAFT FOR LEGAL REVIEW — not final sales terms. Seller details, tax treatment and launch date must be completed before taking real payments.
1. Provider and contact
Typavo is provided by [SELLER FULL LEGAL NAME], [LEGAL STATUS], [POSTAL AND COMPLAINTS ADDRESS], [REGISTRATION / TAX DETAILS IF APPLICABLE]. Contact: support@typavo.com. Effective date: [TO COMPLETE]. These details must identify the actual contracting party; “Typavo” alone does not identify the seller.
2. The service
Typavo turns speech into text and offers optional cleanup, a correction dictionary, local transcription history and saved phrases. Depending on the plan, it also offers translation and voice-directed tone changes. It uses an internet connection and third-party AI processing. Review names, numbers and meaning before sending a result. Recognition can make mistakes; these terms do not remove statutory conformity rights.
3. Requirements and accounts
The desktop app requires Windows 10 or 11 x64, a compatible microphone and internet access. The browser demo requires a supported browser and microphone permission. Create an account using an email address you control and verify it. Keep credentials private and contact support if access is compromised. Do not upload unlawful content or recordings you are not entitled to process.
4. Trial and allowances
The trial is available once per account, without a payment card, and ends after 7 days from verification or 2,000 recognized words, whichever comes first. Pro includes 60,000 recognized words and 1,000,000 input plus output text tokens per monthly billing period. Max includes 120,000 words and 2,000,000 text tokens, translation and tone commands. Re-transcribing consumes allowance again. Server counters are authoritative. Unused allowance does not roll over.
5. Limits
After the word allowance ends, new recognition requests are blocked. The last admitted recording can cross the remaining word allowance; it does not create an automatic extra charge. If text tokens run out but recognition allowance remains, raw transcription remains available and the app indicates limited text processing. Existing local history and manual copy remain available after the trial. No automatic paid overage is enabled.
6. Subscriptions and cancellation
The current environment uses Stripe sandbox: test checkout does not take real payments. Proposed monthly prices are USD 9 for Pro and USD 15 for Max. Before live launch, the seller must confirm tax-inclusive consumer prices, exchange/payment costs, contract formation, billing dates and renewal disclosures in checkout. A paid subscription, once lawfully launched, renews monthly until cancelled. Cancellation through the customer portal is scheduled for the period end; it does not remove statutory refund rights. Plan-change timing and any proration must be shown before confirmation. No paid subscription starts automatically when a trial ends.
7. Withdrawal and complaints
Consumers buying online generally have 14 days to withdraw from a service contract. Request withdrawal at support@typavo.com using your account email and contract date; a specific form is not compulsory. Starting the app or using a trial is not blanket consent to lose this right. Any request to start paid performance early and any lawful proportional charge require the relevant disclosures and explicit request. The legal classification and checkout wording must be reviewed before launch. Report non-conformity and technical complaints to support with the date and description; do not send passwords or sensitive recordings. Consumer complaints will receive a response within 14 days where required by Polish law. Statutory remedies remain available.
8. Data, updates and ending access
See the privacy policy for processing and local storage. Local history is unencrypted; optional saved recordings have separate protection. The seller must specify the supported service and security-update period before live sale: [TO COMPLETE]. Necessary updates must not remove mandatory consumer rights. Material adverse contract changes require appropriate notice and any legally required termination rights. Account deletion requests can be sent to support; cancelling billing and deleting local files are separate actions. Any suspension for abuse must be proportionate and allow contact with support.
9. Applicable law and unresolved launch items
Polish law is proposed, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections in their country of habitual residence. Statutory jurisdiction and access to competent consumer dispute-resolution bodies are preserved. Complete seller identity, tax disclosures, support and retention procedures, update commitments, withdrawal information and final PL/EN consistency before approving these terms. No binding commercial launch date is asserted by this draft.
